Whoever you bring to your home needs to be licensed and insured. The thing most companies avoid is the worker's comp. Ask your installer and he will likely say "oh no I have a worker's comp exemption."
That means only the owner doesn't have to have worker's comp and that if they get hurt, your job will not be completed. Their employees not having worker's comp means you can be liable for their injuries.
